Heritage Community Initiatives Children's Festival July 11, 2009

Heritage Community Initiative's 2009 Children’s Festival took place in the Trau & Loevner parking lot at the corner of Braddock Avenue and 9th Street on Saturday, July 11, 2009, immediately following the dedication of Heritage Community Initiatives' new office building at 820 Braddock Avenue (see Braddck's Attic stack "Heritage Community Initiatives Ribbon Cutting Ceremony July 11, 2009" for pictures of that event).

The Festival featured games, activities, health screenings and entertainment that was all geared toward children’s health, fitness and safety. More than two dozen local and regional organizations participated, including: Braddock Carnegie Library, Creative Reuse Pittsburgh, Family Resources, Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Grow Pittsburgh, HeadStart/AIU, Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA, Turtle Creek MH/MR, UPMC Braddock, Rankin Christian Center and many more.
